09 Sep 2026 · 3 min read

Rs 40,000 is where gaming phones get properly good. You can now find phones with Dimensity 7000-series and Snapdragon 7-series chips, or used phones with even stronger processors. That means steadier frame rates in PUBG, less heat and longer sessions.

Chips to look for at Rs 40,000

Dimensity 7020 / 7050 / 7300 - smooth in most popular games at medium to high settings.
Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 - strong performance and good efficiency.
Helio G99 / G100 - still good, and the phones are often cheaper, so you can buy more storage.
Used flagship chips such as Snapdragon 865 or 888 - very powerful, but older phones can run hot and have tired batteries.
