How to Price Your Used Phone in Pakistan So It Sells Fast

Price is the biggest reason a phone sells quickly or sits for weeks. Too high and nobody calls. Too low and you lose money. Here is a simple method to get it right.
Step 1: Find phones exactly like yours
Search live ads for your exact model and storage. Ignore ads for different storage sizes or different versions, for example the Pro vs the Pro Max. Write down 5 to 10 prices.
Step 2: Match the details
Two phones of the same model can be worth very different amounts. Compare yours with the ads you found on these points:
- PTA status. PTA-approved phones are worth much more. This is the biggest factor for iPhones.
- Condition. Like new, good, or with visible scratches and cracks.
- Battery health. Especially for iPhones. Above 85% is good, below 80% lowers the price.
- Box and accessories. A full box with charger usually adds a few thousand rupees on mid-range and flagship phones.
- Warranty. Remaining official warranty adds value.
- Repairs. A replaced screen or battery lowers value, especially if it is not original.
Step 3: Pick your number
Once you have similar phones, find the middle price. Then:
- If your phone is better than most (box, good battery, no scratches), ask a little above the middle.
- If it is about average, ask the middle plus a small margin for bargaining.
- If it has problems, price below the middle and say why in the ad.
Pakistani buyers almost always bargain, so leave a small margin, for example 3% to 5%, that you are happy to give away.
Step 4: Do not price from the new price alone
Many sellers start from what they paid and take off a bit. That does not work, because used prices follow the market, not what you paid. New launches, dollar rate changes and sales can all move used prices. Always price from live ads.
Step 5: Use the price hint
When you post your ad, the site shows a price hint based on similar ads. Use it as a quick check that you are not far off.
Step 6: Adjust if nobody calls
If your ad gets views but no calls after a few days, your price is probably too high. Lower it a little and see what happens. Our guide on why your ad is not getting calls lists other reasons too.

iPhones hold value best, followed by Samsung flagships. Budget phones lose value fastest. See resale value by brand.
