What both phones have
- A big 6.7-inch 120Hz AMOLED screen
- A 50MP main camera with OIS (optical image stabilisation), which keeps night photos and videos steady
- A 5,000mAh battery with 45W charging
- 256GB storage as the starting point
- Android 16 with One UI 8.5, and Samsung promises up to six major Android upgrades. That is a big reason to choose Samsung over cheaper brands.
Galaxy A57 vs A37: the differences
- Chip: the A57 uses the newer Exynos 1680, the A37 the Exynos 1480. The A57 is noticeably faster in games and heavy apps.
- Ultra-wide camera: 12MP on the A57 vs 8MP on the A37.
- Build: the A57 is very slim at 6.9mm and 179g, with IP68 water and dust resistance.
- RAM: the A57 offers a 12GB option.
Which should you buy?
- Pick the A37 if you want Samsung's long updates and a great screen at the lowest price.
- Pick the A57 if you play games, keep phones for many years, or want the slimmer build.
Or a used A56?
Last year's Galaxy A56 is still a great phone, and used prices are well below a new A57. Read our Galaxy A56 guide. If your budget is lower, see Samsung phones from Rs 20,000 to 30,000 and Samsung 8GB/256GB prices.
