How to sell your phone faster and at a better price

30 Sep 2026 · 3 min read

In Pakistan everyone bargains, and that is fine. But a well-made ad gets serious buyers who bargain less and decide faster. Here is what works.

Take real, clear photos

  • Clean the phone and shoot in daylight near a window.
  • Take photos of the front, the back, the sides and the screen switched on.
  • Include the box, charger and receipt if you have them. Buyers love "complete box".
  • Show any scratch honestly. Buyers trust sellers who show the flaws.

Write an honest description

  • PTA status, storage, RAM and battery health.
  • Any repair, any part changed and how long you used it.
  • Why you are selling. "Upgrading to a new phone" puts buyers at ease.

Price it right

Look at similar phones on VerifiedPhones. When you post an ad, we also show you the usual market price for your model. Price a little above your lowest figure so there is room for bargaining, but not so high that nobody calls.

Reply quickly and politely

Most buyers message more than one seller. The seller who replies first, politely, usually makes the sale. Turn on WhatsApp for your ad so buyers can reach you easily.

Good times to sell

Demand goes up before Eid, at the start of university terms and when new models launch and people upgrade. If you are not in a hurry, list your phone a little before these times.

Stay safe

Meet in a public place, bring a friend, and confirm the payment has really reached your account before you hand over the phone. Sign out of iCloud or Google and factory reset the phone in front of the buyer.

Good places to sell, city by city

Footfall and prices differ across Pakistan. A few starting points:

  • Karachi: Saddar and Tariq Road have the most phone buyers browsing in person; Clifton and DHA buyers pay well for mint-condition iPhones.
  • Lahore: Hall Road is the city's electronics hub, so phones in that price range move fast; Gulberg and DHA buyers lean toward flagship models.
  • Islamabad: Blue Area and F-7 buyers are usually looking for well-kept, boxed phones and pay accordingly.
  • Rawalpindi: Saddar and Commercial Market are busy for budget and mid-range phones.
  • Faisalabad, Multan, Peshawar and every other city all have steady demand; post with your real area so nearby buyers find you first.
