Can You Sell a Phone With a Cracked Screen in Pakistan?

A cracked screen does not make your phone worthless. Plenty of buyers in Pakistan look for cracked phones, either to repair them cheaply or to use as they are. The question is whether to fix it first or sell it as it is.
Repair first, or sell as it is?
Get a repair quote from a trusted shop first, then compare:
- Repair cost is low compared with the phone's value. For example, a cheap glass-only fix on a valuable phone. Repairing first usually gets you more.
- Repair cost is close to the value gain. Sell as it is and let the buyer decide. You save time and risk.
- Expensive phone that needs an original screen. For iPhones and Samsung flagships, an original screen can be expensive, and a cheap copy screen lowers value. Many buyers prefer to buy cracked and repair it their own way.
Keep in mind that buyers ask about replaced screens. A cheap copy screen can make the phone harder to sell than an honest cracked original.
Glass crack or display damage?
There is a big difference:
- Only the glass is cracked. Touch works, no lines, no black spots. This is the cheaper problem.
- Display is damaged. Lines, black patches, colour bleeding or touch not working. This needs a full screen, which costs more.
Say clearly which one you have.
How to price a cracked phone
Look at live ads for the same model in good condition, then subtract roughly what the repair would cost, plus a little more for the buyer's trouble. You can also search for other ads that mention a cracked screen to see what they ask.
Be honest in your ad
Write it in the title, for example "iPhone 12 128GB, cracked glass, everything working". In the description, say:
- Where the crack is and how big
- Whether touch and display work fully
- Whether Face ID or the fingerprint sensor works
- Anything else that is wrong
Take clear photos of the crack with the screen on and off. Hiding damage only wastes your time when the buyer arrives.

- People who know a repair shop and can fix it cheaply
- Repair shops looking for parts or resale
- Buyers on a tight budget who do not mind a small crack
Safety tip
Small glass pieces can cut fingers. Put a cheap screen protector over a cracked screen before meeting buyers. It also stops the crack from spreading.
